Triple Excellent Diamonds: EX Cut, Polish, and Symmetry
Triple Excellent, often written 3EX or EX/EX/EX, means a grading report records Excellent for cut grade, polish, and symmetry. IZIOS requires all three supplied grades before showing a Triple Excellent badge. Missing fields stay missing and are never inferred.
What each Excellent grade means
Cut, polish, and symmetry are separate report fields. Cut describes the report’s overall cut-grade assessment where supplied. Polish describes facet-surface finish. Symmetry describes facet alignment and outline regularity. Compact EX codes and full Excellent labels represent the same grade in IZIOS filters.
Triple Excellent is not Ideal or Hearts and Arrows
ID/EX/EX means Ideal cut with Excellent polish and symmetry; it is not literal EX/EX/EX. Hearts and Arrows is separate round-brilliant pattern evidence requiring explicit designation and paired pattern images. Neither designation automatically proves a specific face-up appearance.
